SHAMPOOS I USED IN 2014 : A REVIEW

Shampoo
Its perfectly normal to do a round up of shampoos used in the past year, and that's exactly what i am gonna do today. Short reviews of the shampoos i used in 2014. If you live in India, i have provided links(for all but one) from where you can buy these products in India as well. And for the review reference, i wash my hair only twice or thrice every week, not daily and yes, its legal ;) Also, i have virgin hair, that is, i have not done any chemical treatment on my hair like straightening or coloring, like ever. So you wont find products that are specific to color protection, etc in my list of products but, if you are looking for one, i have heard some really good reviews about this Biolage one(get it in India here). Okay, lets get started.

The name itself makes you feel like you are using something very ayurvedic, it almost is as it does not have parabens or sulfates, also its gluten-free, & cruelty-free. So its a major chemical-free zone.
First thing i noticed about this one is its smell, or should i say fragrance. Every time i used this, i felt like i am biting into a yummy dessert, cause thats how it smells, its almost overwhelming for a shampoo. Creamy consistency like a shower gel. While the organic shampoo smelled great, it didn't show its effect much, at least not on my hair. It dried out my hair. Its probably would work for fine, smooth hair. This one couldn't stand match to my unruly hair.

Review
I bought this one in the late 2013, early 2014 when i had dandruff problems, either from moving to a new place, or due to water content here, i don't know. So i got this don't be flaky one to keep my dandruff in check. This one didn't have a strong smell, and i was fine with it. I really liked this one. I don't think it did much to control the dandruff(i took other measures), but it made my hair feel soft, and smooth after a wash. I felt like my hair looked properly nourished when i was using this one. Maybe i should try out some other daily shampoo with ingredients like oatmeal.

Ingredients of this one's very much free of harmful chemicals. I used this one as a clarifying shampoo. It did make my hair bounce back to its normalcy after i have used some hair products(i hardly use any often though). My hair felt clean, and free of product build up. It smelled lightly citrusy, and the consistency is also very light like water.

This is the latest shampoo i used in 2014. I stumbled upon this on one of my visits to TJ's for groceries. I was so excited to try this one as i love TJ's but i was sadly disappointed. My hair did not look nourished. My hair felt dry, and hard to manage, and even while shampooing in the shower, i didn't feel any creaminess or smoothness in my hair. So yeah, not buying this one again.

Last but certainly not the least is this drugstore shampoo thats easily available in India as well. This is my go-to travel shampoo. Every time we are traveling, i always have one of these in travel size with me. And we have been to quite a few different places, and this one stood the test of water in all those places to give a soft, smooth, and healthy looking hair every time. So needless to say i love this one!

Hope the mini reviews of these shampoos were helpful. This year i plan to try some quality slightly high end hair products. Just bought the Biolage Hydra source shampoo & conditioner duo(get it in India here) in travel size to try it out, lets see how it goes. Did you try any new shampoo this past year? Also, do you recommend any shampoo that i should give a try? Let me know in the comments.
