TRAVEL DIARIES : SAN FRANCISCO

I am the tallest!
Hope all of you are gearing up to get out of the office, and have a great weekend. But i guess during the holidays, even the work place turns into a fun place to be. Today i am sharing stories about the last day of our California trip and it was in "drum roll" San Francisco. We were all so excited to be there, with Tee as our alleged tour guide as he had been there before. He gets so excited to show me the places he had been to before, just so i could enjoy the way he did, and he could see those places in a whole new light with me. Our trip to Vegas & Grand Canyon was another one he was so excited to take me to.
Golden Gate Bridge
I would say this was the most fun day compared to the other two(lake tahoe, napa valley) because, we did & saw so much and had the most fun doing it. First we were all looking forward to see the infamous golden gate bridge and the weather, oh the amazing weather, it was in fact super cloudy that day but still very pleasant. Loved the weather in California, for a girl born and brought up in tropical India, and used to literally no winter all my life, this was paradise with the perfect temperature, and a much needed break from the much colder northwest. Golden gate bridge was just beautiful, and we just kept admiring and clicking pictures.
Magnificent

Just the two of us :)

Next was an other famous spot, especially for those who love their wheels, the crooked lombard street. The houses in that neighborhood were so colorful and cute, each one was so different from an other.
uphill roads, quite similar to what we have in Seattle
Love this entryway

Another beauty
And, we had the yummiest indian food at the famous south indian restaurant "Anjappar". We have the same restaurant in Seattle, but its Tee's firm belief that this particular Anjappar is the best in flavor, and we drove about an hour just to have our lunch, and i should say everybody was so fulfilled eating there. What can i say, we would do anything for good (Indian)food. But that drive turned out to be lucky for us, as we were very close to the Google HQ in Silicon Valley, so we went there and drove g-bikes (google colored bikes to drive around the campus) (singing) "oh what fun it is to ride a g-bike", its the coolest and colorful bike ever, seriously! I am not saying this because they were perfect for my height, or maybe i am, you will never know.
G-Bike!
Next we went to Half moon bay, it was beautiful, and the waves were strong.

Loved this beach
Next we drove back to the city, to the downtown. We had drip coffee at Blue bottle coffee, a cute little cafe, and did some shopping in the mall nearby. Then later that night we went to a dance club and danced the night out. Yes, there are embarrassing videos which will never see the light of day.
Blue Bottle Coffee
So yeah, so much activity and fun in just one day, and we didn't even have an itinerary in place, guess our alleged tour guide was good, huh? Hope you had fun reading about it as well.

  1. Wow!
These pictures are all so stunning - especially the one of you in that colorful skirt on the bike and that first one.

I've never been to San Francisco, but it has been on the very top of my list for about five years now and I'm hoping to visit a friend out there this summer.
